Full-time/Part-time Dental Assistant Wanted at Tell The Tooth in Westminster, CO
We are looking to hire a Registered Dental Assistant immediately to support our leading non-profit client.

Schedule :
Monday - Friday from 9am-5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties according to the Dental Practice Act
- Support dentists by following their instructions during procedures.
- Perform RDA functions approved by the Dental Board
- Work in both General and Pediatric Dental Clinics.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients and parents/caregivers.
- Apply topical anesthetic as requested.
- Take patients' vital signs when necessary.
- Prepare treatment rooms according to policy.
- Maintain and prepare trays for procedures.
- Review planned treatment to set up trays and rooms appropriately.
- Prepare anesthesia for transfer to dentist.
- Retract oral tissues for better visibility.
- Remove excess moisture from the mouth.
- Transfer instruments to dentists while adhering to sterilization standards.
- Prepare and deliver required restorative materials.
- Remove and prepare instruments for sterilization.
- Perform sterilization procedures.
- Obtain Informed Consent and provide postoperative instructions.
- Take impressions for diagnostic and study models.
- Pour and package impressions for dental lab.
- Operate digital dental radiographic equipment.
- Inform Dental Lead RDA of supply needs.
- Provide translation services as needed.
- Demonstrate understanding of safety policies and ensure safe patient practices.
- Follow required protocols for personal safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide off-site dental treatment when assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed Registered Dental Assistant in California.
- One year of RDA work experience.
- Dental x-ray safety license and experience with digital x-ray technology.
- Experience with Dentrix EDR system is a plus.
- Coronal polishing license and Sealant Certification.
- Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of four-handed dentistry and plaque control instruction.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is desired.
- Commitment to serve Native American and vulnerable populations.
Salary:
$40,000 to $70,000 per year + bonus
