Full-time Internist Needed at Health Clinic in Riverside, CA

Enlight Health Medical Clinic is seeking full-time Internists with expertise in treating individuals with eating disorders who are committed to providing culturally sensitive, compassionate, and person-centered care.

The ideal member is passionate about serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and providing care based on the foundation of mutual trust, respect, and collaboration.

This role will provide an opportunity to partner with a team of individuals who are dedicated to breaking down barriers in the eating disorder and mental health arena.

Work Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Salary:

$250,000 and $300,000 per year base salary DOE plus bonus and full benefits + paid malpractice

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality care to patients according to clinical medical protocols and funding source guidelines;
  • Initiate an appropriate assessment of patient's health status, ranging from focused to comprehensive, depending upon the setting;
  • Provide and manage comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases, common health problems, such as infections, influenza and pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses for patients of all ages;
  • Provide prenatal care for uncomplicated OB patient;
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary;
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients;
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention and educate patients about preventative measures to avoid illness;
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work;
  • Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary;
  • Prescribe medication in accordance with Texas statue and professional practice guidelines;
  • Immunize patients to protect them from preventable diseases;
  • Participate in formulating, interpreting, implementing, and evaluating objectives, policies, and procedures;
  • Assist with quality improvement activities as required and participates in Quality Assurance and Utilization Reviews;
  • Participating in medical research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education to stay abreast of the latest developments in internal medicine.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Valid and unrestricted MD license in the state of practice.
  • Excellent clinical skills and a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
