Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist Wanted - University Counseling Center in Broken Arrow, OK.

Job Type:

Full-time position with regular business hours, occasional evenings, and flexibility during peak periods.

 

Job Setting:

Our university counseling center offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, working closely with students, faculty, and staff. You will primarily work on campus, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and resources.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct intake assessments and screenings to evaluate students' mental health needs and determine appropriate treatment options.
  • Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to students dealing with a variety of concerns.
  • Facilitate therapy groups and workshops on topics relevant to student well-being and development.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, including academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations, to promote holistic student support.
  • Participate in outreach and prevention efforts, such as mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.

 

How to Qualify:

  • Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Possess a master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges and mental health concerns facing college students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and collaborate with a diverse campus community.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models suitable for a university counseling center setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse caseload.
