Full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist Needed at Our Psychiatry Office.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our premier psychiatrist MD outpatient practice. Our practice is renowned for providing comprehensive mental health services to a diverse clientele. As a member of our team, you will work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will play a vital role in conducting assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support our patients' mental well-being.

Work Schedule:

We understand the importance of work-life balance, so you will be working during normal business hours:

Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mood disorders, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor and track clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to inform treatment approaches.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of best practices in mood disorder treatment.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients, promoting de-stigmatization of mood disorders and advocating for their mental health needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, PsyD or LMFT in the state.
  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in treating mood disorders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
