Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Urgent Hiring in Tinley Park  , Illinois

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $115,000.00 - $135,000 per year + benefits 

Our FNP role blends the best of both worlds: you'll have the opportunity to provide care in a hospital setting, offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient services, all while building meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner at [Hospital Name], you’ll provide primary and specialty care for patients across the lifespan, with a focus on wellness, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic conditions. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to offer holistic and high-quality care.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and diagnosing conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages (from pediatrics to geriatrics)
  • Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate, in line with state and federal regulations
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, wellness, disease prevention, and treatment options
  • Perform minor procedures as within the scope of practice (e.g., wound care, suturing, etc.)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless care across settings
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system (Epic/Cerner)
  • Participate in community health initiatives and patient outreach

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP-C)
  • Current licensure in Illinois as a Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Board certification in Family Medicine (FNP) or eligibility
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a healthcare team
  • Exceptional communication skills, both with patients and healthcare providers
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient care excellence
  • Experience in a family medicine, outpatient, or hospital-based care setting is a plus
