Job Description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Setting (Nevada)

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

Location: Moapa  , Nevada

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

This role offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population, providing personalized care that promotes functional independence and overall well-being. You will play a pivotal role in assessing, developing, and implementing treatment plans to help patients overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises and therapeutic activities.
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes.
  • Maintain and organize treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families about home exercise programs and self-care strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program; Associate's degree required.
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Personal Attributes: Compassionate, dedicated, and motivated to help patients achieve their goals. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities are essential.
