Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Work Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We are dedicated to providing top-tier orthopedic care through personalized therapy. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team in California. In this role, you’ll help patients recover strength, improve mobility, and regain independence through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to address patients’ musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training.
  • Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising PT.
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred (new graduates with clinical rotations are welcome to apply).
  • Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
