We are seeking a highly motivated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and contribute to the success of personalized care. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on therapeutic interventions.
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year + benefits

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on therapeutic interventions.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year + benefits
What You’ll Do:
- Administers direct patient care in accordance with the written and signed prescription of the referring physician or other State authorized practitioner, as directed.
- Submits required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department.
- Maintains progress notes and discharge summaries of assigned patients.
- Responds appropriately to established department emergency procedures for patient safety and care when necessary.
- Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.
- May attend family meetings/conferences pertaining to the welfare and management of assigned patients.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
- Active PTA license in the state of New York
- Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Current License to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
