Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Dietitian with expertise in diabetes management and nutrition therapy? We are seeking a talented individual to join us as a Registered Dietitian and contribute to our mission of promoting health and wellness through evidence-based dietary guidance.

We are an outpatient specialty clinic dedicated to providing exceptional nutrition care to patients with diabetes and related conditions. Our clinic is renowned for its comprehensive and specialized care in the field of diabetes management and nutrition therapy. We are committed to helping patients effectively manage their diabetes, improve their overall health, and enhance their quality of life. You will be an integral part of our outpatient specialty clinic, focusing primarily on providing nutrition services to patients with diabetes and related conditions.

We offer a range of specialized services, including medical nutrition therapy, blood glucose management, carbohydrate counting, insulin therapy guidance, and lifestyle modification counseling. As a Registered Dietitian, you will work closely with endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized nutrition plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Work Schedule:

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required based on patient demand or special events.

Salary:

$50,000 and $70,000 per year + performance bonuses

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments and developing individualized care plans for patients based on their medical conditions, dietary needs, and goals.
  • Providing evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families, emphasizing healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and management.
  • Monitoring and evaluating patients' progress, adjusting care plans as necessary, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and integrated care.
  • Conducting nutrition-focused physical examinations and interpreting biochemical data to assess patients' nutritional status.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Providing support and guidance to patients with specialized dietary needs, such as diabetes management, weight loss, food allergies, and gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Staying updated with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in the field of nutrition and incorporating them into patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in the desired location.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and medical nutrition therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and effectively convey nutrition information.
  • Ability to assess patients' dietary needs, develop appropriate care plans, and monitor their progress.
  • Proficiency in using nutrition assessment tools, electronic medical records (EMR), and nutrition software.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.
