Salary: $120,000 to $130,000
Job description:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) interviews and evaluates patients and family members to identify social, emotional and economic factors which may interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. The ideal candidate will provide telehealth mental health services to individuals utilizing a variety of trauma informed, therapeutic techniques as related to substance use disorder and trauma treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Research, refer, and advocate for community resources, such as food stamps, childcare, and healthcare, to assist and improve a client’s well-being
- Respond to crisis situations such as child abuse and mental health emergencies
- Monitor clients' situations, and follow up to ensure that they have improved
- Identify people and communities in need of help
- Monitor clients' situations, and follow up to ensure that they have improved
- Help clients adjust to changes and challenges in their lives, such as illness, divorce, or unemployment
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Valid CA LCSW License
- At least of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related setting. Must have Experience working with Veterans.
- Experience with Department of Mental Health billing and paperwork requirements
- Background in parent-child intervention
- Knowledge of normal child development, parenting, and child abuse/neglect
- Strong verbal communication skills to counsel and advise patients
