Looking for Full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Responsible for providing integrative psychotherapy through the modality of using expressive arts therapy with individuals, children and families. Provides comprehensive integrative assessment and counseling support for mental, emotional, social and behavioral issues that arise for patients with chronic or life threatening illness.

Salary: $120,000 to $130,000

Employment: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Provide psycho social patient assessments.
  • Develop collaboration with team, patient, family, and physician. POC to address patient needs as related to diagnosis.
  • Evaluate Plan of Care, make changes or adapt as patient and family needs change.
  • Work as a team member to meet the department goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates competency in the care of patients/families during field observation by clinical supervisor.

Qualifications

Current valid California License in one of the areas of Behavioral Sciences:

  • Must maintain relevant in the state license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Master’s degree in Social Work and three (3) years post licensure experience
  • Must possess knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention, and could make independent judgment related to counseling as a direct service is essential.
  • Experience and skills in group facilitation and planning processes.

CRITICAL AND ANALYTICAL THINKING:

  • Provides individual and group integrative psychotherapy sessions to patients, children and families.
  • Develops treatment plans based on the individual needs, physician referral information and patient progress and improvement.
  • Refers patients to physicians or other providers when their intervention or treatment is appropriate.
