Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures such as abdominal, vascular, and obstetrical ultrasounds with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ensure patients are prepared for the procedure by explaining the process, providing emotional support, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality images are produced.
  • Analyze images and interpret findings to determine if additional imaging or testing is required and to identify any abnormalities that require further evaluation.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and medical staff to ensure prompt and accurate diagnoses and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to strict HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and equipment to provide the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • A valid certification and registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • State licensure to practice as an Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and medical staff.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Keen attention to detail to produce accurate results and maintain meticulous records.

Salary and Compensation:

  • $55,000 to $80,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
