Full-Time EKG Technician – New York

Position: EKG Technician

Location: Scarsdale, New York (Diagnostic Center)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per year

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EKG Technician to join our diagnostic center in California. In this full-time role, you will perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests to help physicians diagnose and monitor heart conditions. You will work with advanced cardiac monitoring equipment and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform EKG tests, including standard, stress, and Holter monitoring procedures.
  • Accurately place electrodes and operate EKG machines to record heart activity.
  • Monitor and identify abnormal cardiac rhythms during testing.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Maintain and calibrate EKG equipment for accuracy and functionality.
  • Accurately document test results and patient information in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
  • Certification as an EKG Technician (CET) or equivalent preferred.
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in diagnostic or hospital settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating EKG and cardiac monitoring equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and patient care abilities.
