Full-time Occupational Therapists Needed at Inner Spark Clinic Health System

You will provide coordinated care to clients of all age groups. Plans implements and evaluates client care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being. Evaluates occupational roles and performance of clients with physical, psycho-social, and/or cognitive impairments. Provides intervention to deficits and elicits responses.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Works in patients’ homes in various conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
  • Some exposure to unpleasant weather; PRN emergency call.
  • Ability to travel locally and work a flexible schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote /exemplify the Company's mission, vision, and values at all times.
  • Perform clinical assessments; identifies patient needs and appropriateness of client.
  • Document, prepare/revise, and complete a Plan of Care (POC), progress notes, phone orders, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis.
  • Apply concepts of infection control and universal precaution in coordination/performing client cares activities to protect both client and staff (OSHA).
  • Assess and facilitate through direct therapeutic intervention clients' ROM, strength, coordination needs for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to clients' ADL performance needs.
  • Provides effective communication to clients, their families, team members, and other health care professionals, and regular participation in Case conferences/Team Meetings. Facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Evaluate client's occupational performance in the areas of self-care, work, leisure, and rest. Assess sensory-motor neuromuscular, psycho-social, and cognitive-perceptual components of occupational behavior.
  • Monitors assigned cases to ensure compliance with the requirements of third-party payers.
  • Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner to assure compliance with company policy.
  • Demonstrates commitment and professional growth by participating in in-service programs and maintaining/improving competency.
  • Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the Agency/licensing board.

Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of experience as an OT in a clinical care setting.
  • Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrates proven decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current driver’s license in good standing. It is the responsibility of the employee to renew their driver’s license before it expires in order to continue employment.
  • Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance.
  • Current State professional license as an OT in any/all applicable states.
  • Current CPR.
  • Prolonged standing/walking required.
  • The ability to lift/transfer up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and patient needs, make quick decisions and allocate resources under stressful conditions.
  • Meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needs.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Salary:

$70,000 to $90,000 per year
