Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (new grad PTAs are welcome!)
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Ability to practice physical therapy unencumbered by state and federal guidelines
• Passion for aiding and working with the elderly
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility

Essential Functions:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Performs services planned, delegated, and supervised by the PT
• Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to participate in teaching the patient and family
• Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
• Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
• Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients
• Meets mandatory continuing education requirements; participates in in service programs
• Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency
• Proficient and comfortable using technology to communicate and perform essential job functions.

Salary:

$50,000 to $65,000 per year
