Salary:

$90,000 to $120,000 per year

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
  • Standard office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations of the hospital, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage financial reporting processes, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue optimization.
  • Monitor revenue cycle management, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable, to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize delinquencies.
  • Ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenues across departments, cost centers, and funding sources.
  • Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with department heads and administrators to develop and manage departmental budgets, providing guidance on financial matters and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to external stakeholders, such as government agencies, auditors, and grantors, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, regulations, and accounting standards to ensure the hospital's financial practices remain current and aligned with best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Liaise with external partners, including banks, vendors, and insurance providers, to maintain positive relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Participate in strategic financial planning initiatives, assisting in the development and implementation of long-term financial goals and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems and financial management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA.
