Job Type:

Job Duties:

As a Medical Office Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborating with department heads to analyze and interpret financial data, providing insightful recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Conducting periodic audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual tax filings and working closely with external auditors.
  • Supporting the finance team in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Job Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and Medicare billing, is a plus.

Salary:

$55,000-$70,000 per year
