Elixir Acupuncture Center is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our team. We are looking for someone excited to grow their business within a respected brand, working together with specialists in other disciplines to improve patient outcomes.

As an Acupuncturist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality acupuncture treatments to our patients, promoting their overall health and well-being. Your expertise in traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture techniques, and holistic healing will be crucial in helping individuals achieve optimal physical and mental health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in staff development mentoring, education, and guidance.
  • Willingness to participate in educational initiatives for staff, community and professional audiences
  • Perform examination and treatment of various pathologies
  • Integration with other disciplines within Hornell Chiropractic to deliver a comprehensive coordinated approach to care
  • Formulation of a plan of care for treatment and ability to communicate with patient the course of treatment moving forward
  • Ability to treat with local acupuncture (for acute, localized injuries)
  • Knowledge of utilizing cupping, electro-acupuncture a plus
  • Trigger point acupuncture/dry needling
  • Palpation skills, ability to identify muscles and have anatomy knowledge
  • Identify precise locations on a patient’s body where needles should be inserted, or where electrical or heat stimulation is to be applied
  • Explain acupuncture procedures to patients and prepare them for treatment

Pay:

$20.00 - $75.00 per hour + Bonuses

Schedule:

  • 4-hour shift
  • 8-hour shift

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals within Hornell Chiropractic to design and deliver a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Participate in staff development mentoring, education, and guidance to enhance the team's overall expertise.
  • Willingness to engage in educational initiatives for staff, community, and professional audiences to promote awareness and understanding of acupuncture and holistic healing.
  • Perform thorough examinations of patients to diagnose various pathologies and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize local acupuncture techniques for acute, localized injuries.
  • Employ additional techniques such as cupping, electro-acupuncture, and trigger point acupuncture/dry needling as needed for specific cases.
  • Demonstrate strong palpation skills and extensive anatomy knowledge to identify precise treatment locations on the patient's body.
  • Explain acupuncture procedures to patients and ensure they are prepared and comfortable for treatment.
  • Formulate a clear and effective plan of care, communicating the treatment process to patients and managing their expectations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in acupuncture practice.
  • Clinical expertise with a focus on differential diagnosis.
  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) involving sports medicine acupuncture or trigger point acupuncture are considered a plus.
  • Expertise or certification in a subspecialty area is preferred.
  • Capability to handle all aspects of acupuncture scope of practice effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
  • Desire and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective multitasking and time management skills to manage patient appointments efficiently.
  • Intermediate knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes to facilitate seamless patient experiences.
  • Punctuality in completing treatments on time to maintain a smooth appointment flow.
  • The job requires frequent walking, standing, and sitting.
  • Employees must use their hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • The ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear is necessary.
  • Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds is expected.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception, are required.
