As a Pharmacy Technician in our acute care setting, you’ll work side-by-side with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment that values precision and professionalism.
Job Duties:
- Prepare, label, and deliver medications under pharmacist supervision
- Assist in sterile and non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP <797>/<800> standards
- Maintain accurate medication records in the electronic health system (EPIC experience a plus)
- Restock automated dispensing cabinets (e.g., Pyxis or Omnicell)
- Support inventory control, expiration date checks, and ordering processes
- Participate in emergency code response and STAT medication delivery
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and state/federal pharmacy regulations
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician License and National PTCB Certification (CPhT)
- Hospital or health system experience preferred, but open to skilled retail techs transitioning to inpatient care
- Strong communication skills, tech-savvy, and able to prioritize in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with IV compounding, automated dispensing systems, and electronic health records is a plus
