Full-time/Part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) Needed at Balance & Bliss Health Services in Port St. Lucie, FL
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) to join our team at our Balance & Bliss Health Services. Our center is known for providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation services centered on our residents' needs.
Our caring staff provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services centered on our residents’ needs. With open lounge areas and state-of-the-art therapy gyms, our inviting center offers only the highest standard of care. We provide person-centered care plans that meet our residents’ emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental needs.
You will work with a diverse group of patients and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. Our goal is to help our residents regain independence and improve their overall quality of life. As a COTA, you will be an integral part of this mission, providing treatment and support to individuals to help them achieve their therapy goals.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability might be required to accommodate patient needs
Responsibilities:
- Providing treatment based on the evaluations/plans of care created by supervising therapist.
- Appropriately and effectively completing documentation.
- Screening residents and individuals who may benefit from therapy.
- Communicating patient status and needs to the patients, family, caregivers, or other members involved with patient care.
- Collaborating and updating the supervising therapist regarding the progress of the patients.
- Expanding and enhancing self, in both clinical and professional knowledge through associations and continuing education.
- Providing in-service training sessions or other educational presentations to members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.
- Supporting and participating in department operations/meetings.
Requirements:
- Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Comfortable with using computers and electronic documentation systems.
- Preferred experience working at SNF, but we are open to candidates with other practice area experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and compassion for patients and their families.
Salary:
$50,000 - $60,000 per year
