Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) Full-time opportunity in Miami, Florida
Our team is looking for a Certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) who will be expected to plan, organize, and conduct pediatric occupational therapy programs to facilitate growth in sensory-motor development.
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 per year + benefits
Patient Volume: 2 patients per hour schedule
Job Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans based on the therapist's evaluation
- Conduct therapy sessions with patients, focusing on improving motor skills, mobility, and daily living tasks
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate regularly with therapists regarding treatment goals
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care
- Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment outcomes
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
- An active license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Florida
- One or more years of clinical experience in an outpatient therapy setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
