Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Location: Kaufman, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + Benefits
Position Overview
Our outpatient practice helps children and families address a functional difficulty before it causes a reduction in functional abilities, low self-esteem, poor school performance, or strained peer and family relationships.
We are seeking to immediately hire an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Key Responsibilities:

Implement occupational therapy services for pediatrics beginning from birth through the age of 21 years old under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

Treat the client through the use of therapeutic activities designed to restore function and self-care activities for improving function

Complete documentation to support the delivery of Occupational Therapy services

Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record

Implement occupational therapy services in accordance with physicians' plan of treatment

Adhere to ethical and legal standards

Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
Qualifications:

Graduate with an occupational therapy assistant certification

Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state of Texas
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date

Proficient in electronic Medical Records documentation

Strong communication skills with internal/external customers
