Position: Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: Vancouver, Washington
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
Are you a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) seeking an opportunity to specialize in orthopedic outpatient care? Our clinic in Washington is looking for a COTA to join our team. The COTA will work collaboratively with the OT and other interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy services for patients in their homes
Job Responsibilities:

Assisting with school and classroom management and maintaining student records

Adapts equipment, including computers for the purpose of providing optimal positioning and increased independence for special education students

Administer standardized tests (e.g. VMI, MVPT, etc) for the purpose of determining the need for further individualized assessment

Assists in the assessment of students’ fine motor and development skills for the purpose of determining their deficits and developing recommendations

Assists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities

Instructs individual and groups of students for the purpose of implementing treatment programs for remediation of functional limitations
Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications:

Associate of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field.

Current Washington State OTA license or license eligible to practice as an occupational therapy assistant

Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) occupational therapy assistant examination

Must obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification

One-year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
