Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

There is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)in our team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of highly skilled professionals in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a certified and experienced COTA who is passionate about helping people improve their abilities to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments

Who are we looking for?

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current and valid COTA certification

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Excellent knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and motivate patients

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle a high volume of cases

  • A strong commitment to patient care and a passion for helping others

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Current CPR certification

What you will do:

  • Assisting in the assessment and evaluation of patient’s condition and needs

  • Implementing treatment plans and goals as directed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Assisting patients in performing therapeutic activities and exercises

  • Monitoring and documenting patients' progress and updating treatment plans as necessary

  • Educating patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies

  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care

  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations

  • Ensuring all equipment and supplies are maintained and used safely and effectively

  • Participating in continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices
