Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) ASAP Opportunity!!
Location: Independence, Missouri
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
There is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)in our team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of highly skilled professionals in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a certified and experienced COTA who is passionate about helping people improve their abilities to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments
Who are we looking for?

Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
-
Current and valid COTA certification

A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Excellent knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions
-
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and motivate patients
-
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
-
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle a high volume of cases
-
A strong commitment to patient care and a passion for helping others

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Current CPR certification

What you will do:

Assisting in the assessment and evaluation of patient’s condition and needs

Implementing treatment plans and goals as directed by the Occupational Therapist
-
Assisting patients in performing therapeutic activities and exercises

Monitoring and documenting patients' progress and updating treatment plans as necessary
-
Educating patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies
-
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care

Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations

Ensuring all equipment and supplies are maintained and used safely and effectively

Participating in continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices
