Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Location: Cape Girardeau , Missouri
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Our reputable orthopedic outpatient clinic in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our collaborative rehab team. As a COTA in our orthopedic setting, you’ll work closely under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll play a vital role in helping individuals recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions—primarily focused on upper extremity function and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises tailored to improve function
- Provide education and support to patients and caregivers
- Document patient progress and report updates to the OT
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Missouri state COTA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest or experience in orthopedic outpatient care preferred
