Full-time/part-time Dental Assistant Wanted in Dental Office

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering outstanding patient care.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays may be required for special events or emergencies

You will work in our modern and well-equipped dental office, catering to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Our practice offers a comprehensive range of dental services, including general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, orthodontics, and more. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative and highly skilled team of dentists, hygienists, and support staff, ensuring exceptional patient experiences and optimal oral health outcomes.

Salary:

$40,000 to $60,000 per year + bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting dentists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Preparing treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Greeting and preparing patients for dental examinations and treatments.
  • Taking and developing dental X-rays as directed by dentists.
  • Assisting with dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and root canals.
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records.
  • Providing oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care to patients.
  • Ordering and maintaining dental supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
  • Performing basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming models.
  • Assisting with front office tasks, including billing and insurance processing.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); completion of a dental assistant training program is preferred.
  • X-ray certification and CPR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and dental team members.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures.
