Job Title: Dental Assistant – Hospital-Based Dental Clinic (Georgia)

Location: Atlanta , Georgia

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000 per year + benefits

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team and contribute to an excellent patient experience.

The Dental Assistant will play a key role in supporting dentists during procedures, preparing treatment areas, managing dental instruments, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about oral healthcare.

Job Duties:

  • Assist dentists chairside during examinations and dental procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, cleanings).
  • Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly sterilized and arranged.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as directed.
  • Maintain patient records and chart accurate dental treatment information using EHR or dental software.
  • Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patients understand care plans and follow-up steps.
  • Manage infection control by following proper sterilization techniques and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Dental Assistant training program preferred.
  • 1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting is highly preferred but not required.
  • BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology.
  • Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, empathetic, and patient-centered demeanor.
