Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere
- Register patients by accurately collecting and verifying personal and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively
- Answer incoming calls and address inquiries, providing accurate and helpful information
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers, both internally and externally
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
- Collect co-payments and process patient payments accurately
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMRs) and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and minimal wait times
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and organizing documents
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a Front Desk Representative or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, and coding procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and effectively resolve conflicts
Salary and Benefits:
- $50,000-$60,000/year + quarterly performance bonus
