Full-time/Part-time Medical Front Desk Representative Needed at Renewed Care Services in Rosedale, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere
  • Register patients by accurately collecting and verifying personal and insurance information
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively
  • Answer incoming calls and address inquiries, providing accurate and helpful information
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers, both internally and externally
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
  • Collect co-payments and process patient payments accurately
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMRs) and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and minimal wait times
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and organizing documents
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Representative or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, and coding procedures
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and effectively resolve conflicts
