Our office is searching for a skilled licensed massage therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide clients with high-quality massage therapy that is targeted to help them meet their health and wellness goals. The job also requires explaining the benefits of various types of massages to clients and tracking their progress over time.

As you continue seeing a particular patient, you may need to adjust the massage therapy you provide to better serve their needs.

To do well in this role, you will need to be highly skilled in the types of massage therapy that you intend to provide to clients. You must hold all relevant licenses and be capable of customizing the care you provide based on the individual needs of every client.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical condition, medical history, and individual needs to determine appropriate massage techniques and treatment plans.
  • Perform a variety of massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and others, to address clients' specific concerns and promote relaxation and healing.
  • Tailor massage sessions to individual clients, adjusting pressure, duration, and techniques based on clients' preferences and any contraindications.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure their comfort and gather feedback during sessions to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices, to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' health history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, post-treatment care, and self-care techniques to enhance the longevity of treatment effects.
  • Offer suggestions for additional treatments or self-care practices that may complement clients' wellness goals.
  • Build strong rapport and trust with clients, fostering long-lasting relationships and encouraging repeat business.
  • Adhere to professional ethics and boundaries, ensuring a respectful and appropriate therapeutic relationship with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Require candidates to hold a valid license to practice massage therapy in the state.
  • Verified certification from an accredited massage therapy program.
  • Completed a comprehensive massage therapy program with a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
  • Relevant work experience in providing therapeutic massage services, preferably in a similar healthcare or wellness setting.
  • Specialized training in specific massage techniques or modalities that align with your business's focus, such as sports massage, prenatal massage, or deep tissue massage.
  • Effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and medical history, ensuring a personalized and client-centered approach.
  • Prioritize client care and are skilled in creating a comfortable and safe environment for clients during massage sessions.
