Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year
Location: St. Joseph , Missouri
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our high-performing orthopedic outpatient office in Missouri. Our outpatient clinic specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, providing comprehensive care for patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain. Our team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, and now—we’re looking to add an LMT who understands how therapeutic massage enhances function, reduces pain, and accelerates recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release) tailored to medical needs
- Collaborate with referring providers to understand diagnosis, contraindications, and therapy goals
- Document patient interactions and progress according to hospital protocol and HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for all clients
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing clinical education
- Contribute to wellness events, employee stress reduction programs, and educational initiatives
- Uphold ethical and professional standards as outlined by the Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage and hospital policy
Qualifications:
- Current Missouri Massage Therapy License in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program (minimum 500 hours)
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Demonstrated experience working in a clinical, hospital, or rehabilitation setting
- Certification or advanced training in oncology massage, prenatal massage, or trauma-informed bodywork
- Experience with EMR documentation systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt modalities to fragile or medically complex patients
