Full-time or Part-time Licensed Practical Nurses Needed at Medical Clinic in Pottstown, PA

Primary Care Medical Center is seeking licensed practical nurses with excellent clinical and surgical skills, outstanding bedside manners, and a passion for delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and assists with resident, family/significant other education and notifies family on condition changes.
  • Updates plan of care when needed and observes and documents observations and care given to the residents.
  • Assists geriatric patients in Long Term Care (LTC).
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
  • Assists with formulating a plan of care for residents and provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders and regulations.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
  • Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
  • Long-term care nurses also often assist patients with the tasks of their daily lives, including feeding, dressing, using the toilet and bathing.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
  • Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
  • Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts.
  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions.
