Job Title: Practice Manager – Hospital Setting (Atlanta, Georgia)

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000 per year + benefits

The Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing administrative, financial, and operational functions of one or more physician practices within the hospital system. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care, strong provider support, and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, excellent communicator, and strategic thinker with experience managing healthcare practice operations in a hospital or large clinic setting.

Job Duties:

  • Direct daily operations of assigned outpatient practices, ensuring effective workflow, staffing, scheduling, and patient service.
  • Supervise and support front-office and back-office teams, including medical assistants, receptionists, billers, and clinical staff.
  • Partner with physicians and providers to optimize clinic performance and patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial goals are met.
  • Analyze practice performance metrics including patient volume, access to care, billing accuracy, and appointment efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures in compliance with hospital standards, HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development for clinic staff.
  • Monitor and improve patient access, scheduling systems, referral processes, and wait times.
  • Serve as liaison between practice staff, hospital administration, and external vendors.
  • Manage patient grievances or escalations and support service recovery efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required. Master’s degree (MHA/MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of practice or clinic management experience, preferably in a hospital-affiliated outpatient setting.
  • Proven experience in managing office operations, staff, budgets, and patient services in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena), practice management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management, billing, and healthcare operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems efficiently, and maintain composure in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with performance improvement, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration.
