Position:

Our client is seeking an energized, positive thinker Mental Health Therapist to provide counseling services to our existing counseling program. This is a part-time contract position with flexible hours and competitive pay, with the potential to move full-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual therapy to teenagers and adults in-person and remotely
  • Works with diverse clients and uses individualized treatment approaches
  • Implement and review treatment plans
  • Ensures notes are completed within two days of client's session
  • Uses a web-based program to enter progress notes, initial assessments, treatment plans, client updates, etc.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with staff for services
  • Flexibility in schedule and clients served
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to write clear and concise progress notes and reports
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Knowledge of a range of modalities
  • Basic computer competencies with the ability to use Microsoft Office and electronic clinical documentation system
  • Understanding of trauma and grieving experiences, with therapeutic modalities to target concerns
  • Understanding of career counseling and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of at least one year providing counseling services

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or psychology
  • Current license from the Florida Department of Health in LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist
  • Valid driver’s license or state identification card, valid insurance, reliable transportation
  • Holds professional liability insurance
  • Has a laptop with camera/microphone capabilities and reliable internet connection
  • Quiet workspace for remote telehealth counseling, if needed

Preferred:

  • Experience working with adolescents and adults who experienced trauma that resulted in a disability
  • Specialty in adjustment, disability, career, grieving, depression, self-esteem, rehabilitation, psychological testing, and/or psychological trauma
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
  • Certifications in specialties, such as EMDR, CBT, trauma-focused therapy
