Flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Needed at Bloom Diagnostic and Mental Healthcare Center in Bridgeport, CT

We have immediate openings for Licensed Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese Speaking Therapists throughout the state, to provide Intensive In-community therapeutic services for children with Developmental Disabilities and intellectual challenges!

We provide Holistic Consultation and Counseling to primary caregivers of children and teens with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions in our outpatient center.
  • Provide anger management, coping, and social skills and reduce high-risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
  • Work to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family.
  • Submit all required documentation within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, progress notes), etc.
  • Attend monthly meetings and submit recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields
  • Must have an active and unrestricted LMFT license
  • Must be available for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
  • Must have experience providing positive behavior support.
  • Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20 and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year
