We provide Comprehensive Youth & Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions in our outpatient center.
- Provide anger management, coping, and social skills and reduce high-risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
- Work to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family.
- Submit all required documentation within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, progress notes), etc.
- Attend monthly meetings and submit recommendations.
Requirements:
- Must have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields
- Must have an active and unrestricted LMFT license
- Must be available for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
- Must have experience providing positive behavior support.
- Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20 and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
- Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
Compensation:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
