Full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Needed at Our Community Center.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Licensed Mental Health Therapist to become an integral part of our esteemed community center. Our center is renowned for providing comprehensive mental health services to a diverse clientele, and we are committed to making a positive impact on people's lives. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily focus on helping individuals who are grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your responsibilities will include conducting evaluations, crafting personalized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to offer guidance and support to groups facing unique challenges, such as homeless individuals, refugees, or victims of domestic abuse. Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop customized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, objectives, and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices.
  • Continuously monitor and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Foster collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical specialists to ensure integrated care.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigmatization and meeting their unique needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current and active state license: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Master's degreein Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Develop a secure and trusted therapy relationship with clients by demonstrating great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, sympathy, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles are required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities are required to ensure effective workload management and administrative chores.
