Flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Needed at Providence Mental Therapy Session Center.

We have urgent openings for Licensed Therapists who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, and these positions are accessible throughout the state. These positions include delivering intensive in-community therapy assistance to children with developmental disabilities and cognitive problems. It's an excellent chance to help a wide spectrum of youngsters with special needs.

We offer comprehensive support services for youth and families to caregivers of children and adolescents with developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individual treatment sessions either in the client's home or at our outpatient clinic.

- Provide help with anger management, coping methods, and social skills development, all while actively addressing and lowering high-risk behaviors including self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggressiveness.

- Emphasize improving the decision-making abilities of both adolescents and caregivers in order to effectively manage behavioral difficulties in the home.

- Maintain a consistent and successful collaboration approach with the Child Family Treatment Team and other experts from many disciplines who are equally committed to assisting adolescents and families.

- Ensure that all relevant documentation, including intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes, is submitted on time.

- Attend monthly meetings and provide any necessary recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields
  • Must have an active and unrestricted LMFT license
  • Must be available for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
  • Must have experience providing positive behavior support.
  • Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20 and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $100,000 per year
