The Mental Health Clinic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) provides counseling and therapy services to the Community and families receiving care in the outpatient Mental Health Clinic at the State. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary medical team, the LMFT evaluates the patient’s presenting psychosocial problems and facilitates access to the resources that can most appropriately minimize the patient’s psychosocial stressors.


Seeking Full-time/Part-time LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) Wanted for Native Center Psychotherapy Services in Greenville, NC


Responsibilities:


  • Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues
  • Willingly accepts additional and special assignments that are necessary to meet program goals or needs
  • Completes all clinical charting and documentation required by the company or healthcare system in a timely and accurate manner, as appropriate
  • May serve on assigned mental health committees or task forces
  • Represents the company at professional/program community groups/events and committees as a company representative
  • Participates in ongoing performance improvement initiatives within their assigned Mental Health track
  • specific concrete interventions for individual and family counseling services
  • Treatment plans are written utilizing the software
  • Provision of individual psychotherapy services
  • Provision of marriage and family therapy services
  • Referral to appropriate group therapy services
  • Referral to appropriate psychiatric medication management services
  • Referral for appropriate psychological testing services
  • Referral to appropriate substance abuse services
  • Crisis management
  • Follow-through on no-shows, according to the departmental No-show policy
  • Regular review and update of progress through treatment plan reviews
  • Nonpatient care responsibilities (e.g., completing the appropriate paperwork for PAIR or other programs)
  • And other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Current and valid license by the state: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients
  • Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and challenges
  • Display strong organizational and time-management skills, allowing for effective caseload management and administrative tasks
