Seeking Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) Needed for Water Edge Counseling Services in Brookhaven, NY


Our Counseling Center provides high-quality counseling support to teens, adults, and couples. We are looking for therapists to join our team who are empathetic, positive, and love the work they do. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, you will ensure the delivery of evidence-based practices, applying the techniques of Engagement, Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.

Salary


$85,000 - $100,000 + Bonus


Responsibilities


  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
  • Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Mental Health Therapist responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, leading sessions with individuals and groups, and referring clients to specialists as needed
  • Ultimately, you will work directly with patients to counsel them in treating various mental health disorders in order to lead a healthier lifestyle
  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients


Qualification:


  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is required.
  • Experience with providing individual and/or couples therapy.
  • Experience working with children and/or adults.
  • Skills in timely completion of client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Proficient writing and communication skills and the ability to learn electronic health record systems.
