Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate, proactively, and serve as point of contact with families.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies within the framework of the Newport Healthcare’s clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy model.
  • Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups.
  • Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress, group notes, contact notes and discharge summaries) timely and according to established standards.
  • Enter and save data accurately within Word, Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR, and online learning.
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.
  • Manage schedule, independently, to effectively and efficiently accomplish goals and tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required.
  • Experience with individual, group, or family therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
