Full-time/Part-time License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Wanted at Watertown Regional Counseling Center in Richmond, CA

Watertown Regional Counseling Center is looking to hire talented licensed professionals. We are looking for License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join us in our mission of providing superior mental health and wellness services. We are a team-oriented private practice that goes above and beyond to help our clients. We’re looking for self-motivated professionals who believe in our mission and are motivated to help our clients heal.

The ideal candidate is professional, self-motivated, and compassionate in offering guidance to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. He/she must be able to approach the work holistically, using a “wellness” model (as opposed to an “illness” one) which highlights and encourages the client’s strengths. We offer a flexible schedule and full autonomy.

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours
  • Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions in our outpatient center
  • Provide anger management, coping, and social skills and reduce high-risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression
  • Work to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family
  • Submit all required documentation within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, progress notes), etc
  • Attend monthly meetings and submit recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields
  • Must have an active and unrestricted LMFT license
  • Must be available for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm
  • Must have experience providing positive behavior support
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle
  • Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting
