As a crucial member of our mental health team, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating patients, leading counseling sessions, and contributing to the overall well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Create individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and circumstances
- Regularly meet with patients to provide counseling, treatment, and adjust plans as necessary
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
- Lead sessions with individuals and groups
- Refer clients to specialists as needed
Requirements:
- Valid license as LMFT
- Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
- Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with the ability to motivate clients
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
