Flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Needed at Connection Mental Heal Counseling Center in California.
We currently have immediate openings for Licensed Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese Speaking Therapists across the state to offer Intensive In-community therapeutic services for children with Developmental Disabilities and intellectual challenges!
This presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a diverse cross-section of children with exceptional needs.
We offer Comprehensive Youth & Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
What You Will Do:
- Provide evidence-based mental health early intervention, assessment and treatment interventions services for children at risk of, showing early signs of, or having been diagnosed with a mental illness, including a serious emotional disturbance (SED).
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with community partner and representatives of community, day care, faith-based, and school groups.
- Provide multi-generational engagement with families of infants and children through therapy/counseling service, parent education and supportive family services to families with infants and children in order to support caregiving relationships.
- Promote resilience and successful coping techniques using individual, group, and family evidence-based strategies.
- Provide culturally sensitive education and interventions for the effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on young children and their families.
Requirements:
- Must possess a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields.
- Must hold an active and unrestricted LMFT license.
- Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
- Experience in providing positive behavior support is required.
- Prior experience working with children ages 3-20, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
- Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
Compensation:
SALARY:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
