We are in search of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a mental health professional tasked with providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Utilizing a comprehensive assessment process, the LMFT develops personalized treatment plans to address emotional, behavioral, and relational complexities, ultimately enhancing the overall mental health and interpersonal dynamics of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments to understand the mental and emotional health of individuals, couples, or families.
- Diagnosing mental health disorders or issues within the context of relationships.
- Providing individual, couples, or family therapy sessions to address emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients.
- Facilitating communication and improving interpersonal relationships within couples or family units.
- Offering guidance and counseling to help clients navigate and manage life's challenges.
- Assisting clients in resolving conflicts and developing healthier ways to communicate and interact.
- Teaching conflict resolution skills to improve relationship dynamics.
- Offering information and resources to help clients better understand and manage their mental health.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards in documentation practices.
- Adhering to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by licensing boards.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest research and therapeutic techniques.
- Advocating for clients' well-being and ensuring their needs are addressed within the therapeutic process.
- Providing crisis intervention when necessary, including assessing and managing immediate safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current LMFT licensure, demonstrating completion of required education and exams.
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution will be preferred.
- Extensive clinical experience, including supervised hours, showcasing therapeutic skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education.
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in individual, couples, and family therapy.
- Specialization in areas such as trauma, substance abuse, or couples counseling.
- Experience working with diverse client populations and conducting thorough clinical assessments.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision, if applicable, and handle crisis situations effectively.
SALARY:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
