Full-Time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Role Overview:

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist provides patient-centered care addressing mental health conditions to individuals and families. Works with a multi-cultural population of diverse socio-economic backgrounds and ages in a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment.

The LMFT is responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Initial intake, assessments, brief therapy, crisis evaluation, phone triage with patients and referrals to appropriate services.
  • Interviews and evaluates patients for psychosocial, emotional and developmental needs.
  • Provides mental health services including individual and family therapy, crisis intervention for patients with mild to moderate conditions. Provides appropriate referrals for patients with severe mental illness. Treats patients of all ages including children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
  • Develops and updates treatment plans to help patients meet treatment goals following current standards of practice.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including participation in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT)
  • Active Licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • 3-4 years of experience in providing couples and family work or any related field.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and objectives. Must have strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
