Job Type: Full-time, Remote

Salary: $120,000 to $130,000

Job description

The role of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) is to provide quality mental health services to the various communities. The therapist will accomplish this by (but not limited to) observing how people interact within units, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, guide clients through difficult life transitions, assist clients in resolving relational or behavioral problems, and help clients to replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthy alternatives. Job duties include carrying a caseload of individuals, couples, children, and/or family patients in a private practice setting.

Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule options during office hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekend work

Responsibilities:

  • Treatment will comply with all legal and ethical standards as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Documentation will be completed in a timely manner, and no longer than 72 hours from the time of session. It will also comply with the standards of practice established by professional norms.
  • Therapists will be responsible for responsibilities of mandated reporters in the state of California, in accordance with state law.
  • Therapists will also address issues that arise as per the normal course of treatment (ie. Consultation, appropriate referrals, etc.)
  • Therapists will work with support staff to maintain a full schedule on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in education
  • At least 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related setting.
  • Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety laws
  • Coaching skills to help patients make positive changes
  • Organization skills to maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient files
