Salary: $120,000 to $130,000
Job description
The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will accomplish this by observing how people interact within units, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, guide clients through difficult life transitions, assist clients in resolving relational or behavioral problems, and help clients to replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthy alternatives. Job duties include carrying a caseload of individuals, couples, children, and/or family patients in a private practice setting. The therapist is responsible for providing direct psychological clinical services to injured workers
Responsibilities:
- Provide brief individual therapy to individuals in the FRP and evaluating their clinical progress in the program.
- Perform Assessment and treatment planning for active caseload.
- Provide clinical care informed by best practices in the field of pain psychology
- Familiarity working with chronic pain/trauma population, an integrated therapeutic approach is a plus.
- Ability to establish rapport with patients, families, professionals, and co-workers.
- Able to work with patients using sound judgment.
- An attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Valid California License with Master’s degree
- At least 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related setting.
- Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety laws
- Coaching skills to help patients make positive changes
- Organization skills to maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient files
- Strong verbal communication skills to counsel and advise patients
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans
