ooking for Full Time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Salary: $120,000 to $130,000

Job Summary:

Alafia Mental Health Institute is engaged in a partnership with the Los Angeles School District. As a result of this partnership, therapists provide individual and family therapy for clients attending these schools.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries and maintains ongoing confidential records.
• Collaborates with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications, within the scope of practice.
• Provides consultation to other care providers and health educators on matters relating to mental health, health psychology and behavioral medicine.

• Within the parameters of practice, provides patients and their families with guidance and instruction on following recommended treatment plans and drug schedules.
• Creates treatment plans, case summaries, and intake summaries; keeps ongoing, Private records.
• Within the parameters of practice, works in tandem with doctors to screen and assess patients for psychotropic drugs.

Qualification

Current valid California License in one of the areas of Behavioral Sciences:

• • Master's Degree In Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Psychology from an accredited graduate program.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
  • California BBS Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - CA Board of Behavioral Sciences -REQUIRED

• 1 Year Experience in a behavioral health setting.
